Electric mattress pad with a Tempurpedic?

Can I use an electric mattress pad with a Tempurpedic mattress?

I've used a heated mattress pad with a memory foam mattress for many years. Prior to that I used one with a memory foam topper. Personally I've never encountered a problem with this combination, and have never known anyone to have one. With that said, I have heard that manufacturer you mention advises against it.
